Job Opportunity: Pharmacist – Acworth Municipal Corporation Leprosy Hospital, Mumbai-Apply before 19th Sept. 2025

About the Opportunity

Approval has been received from the Hon’ble Municipal Commissioner (vide No. MGC/F/6962 dated 26.06.2025) to fill two contractual Pharmacist positions at Acworth Municipal Corporation Leprosy Hospital, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). The appointment will be contractual from 01.10.2025 to 31.03.2027, with a one-day service break after every 179 days, until posts are filled on a contractual or regular basis, whichever is earlier.

Position Details

• Salary: ₹20,000 per month

Educational Qualifications

1. Diploma in Pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education OR a Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized university (preference for candidates with a degree).

2. Mandatory Registration with the Maharashtra State Pharmacy Council.

3. Computer Proficiency: Completion of DOEACC (CCC/O/A/B/C Level) or MACIT/GECT certification from the Maharashtra State Board of Higher & Technical Education.

4. Language Requirement: Must have passed SSC or equivalent with at least 50 marks in Marathi.

Age Criteria

• Minimum: 18 years

• Maximum: 38 years
  (as on 19.09.2025, the last date of application submission).

Selection Process

• Preference for candidates with a degree in Pharmacy.

• Marks will be deducted for multiple attempts:

  • Two attempts: –5 marks

  • Three attempts: –10 marks

  • More than three attempts: Not eligible.

• Additional experience marks: 2 marks for every 6 months of relevant work experience (maximum 20 marks).

• Final merit list will be prepared based on academic performance + experience marks.

• The selection list will be displayed on the hospital’s local notice board.

Application Fee

• ₹933/- (₹790 + 18% GST ₹143)

• Fee to be paid in cash at the Municipal Corporation’s Civic Facility Center (CFC).

• Attach the original payment receipt with the application.

• Non-refundable.

General Terms & Conditions

• Contractual appointment, purely temporary – no claim to regular service.

• Service rules of BMC will not apply.

• 7.5 casual leaves per 6-month contract; no other leave admissible.

• Biometric attendance is mandatory.

• Unsatisfactory performance or disciplinary issues may result in termination without notice.

• Candidate resignation requires 1 month’s prior notice, failing which salary will be deducted.

• Appointment is subject to verification of documents and compliance with all terms.

• BMC reserves the right to cancel or stop the recruitment process at any stage.
