About the Initiative

The Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Anantnag, invites applications from eligible Registered Pharmacists of District Anantnag for engagement as Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra (PMBJK) Managers under the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojna (PMBJP). These appointments will be on a profit-sharing basis, strictly in accordance with the scheme’s guidelines.


Position Details

  • Position: Pharmacist – PMBJK Manager

  • Type: Temporary (3 years, performance-based)

  • Basis: Profit-sharing

  • Total Vacancies: 08

  • Locations:

    • 02 posts at SDH Dooru

    • 02 posts at PHC Larnoo

    • 02 posts at NTPHC Pahalgam

    • 01 post at PHC Verinag

    • 01 post at PHC Mattan


Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification:

    • 10+2 (Science stream)

    • Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) or Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm)

    • Pharmacy training from SMF or a recognized institute/university

  • Registration: Must be a Registered Pharmacist with J&K Pharmacy Council

  • Other Requirements:

    • Working knowledge of computers for billing operations

    • Must be unemployed (to be certified via an affidavit attested by a 1st Class Judicial Magistrate)

Points for qualifications will be awarded on a prorata basis.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Jan Aushadhi Kendra

  • Maintain adequate stock of medicines and surgicals

  • Ensure 24×7 functioning under supervision of Medical Superintendent/BMO

  • Use PMBI-provided software for all billing

  • Provide full-time services exclusively to the assigned Kendra

  • Follow all terms and conditions outlined by the PMBI and the department


Remuneration Structure

  • Pharmacists will be engaged on a profit-sharing model

  • Out of the 20% margin on MRP:

    • 7.5% for a single Pharmacist or 15% for two Pharmacists

    • Remaining 5% goes to the Hospital Development Fund


Important Notes

  • Engagement is temporary, performance-based, and does not confer any right to permanent employment

  • Termination can occur at any time based on unsatisfactory performance

  • Candidates must sign an agreement with the Department and PMBI, attested by a 1st Class Magistrate
