JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSS AHER), formerly known as JSS University, is a Deemed-to-be University located in Mysuru, Karnataka. Established in 2008 under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956, JSS AHER is part of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, a reputed educational institution. Recognized by the Ministry of Education and accredited by NAAC with an A+ Grade (3.48 CGPA), JSS AHER has also been classified as a Category-I Deemed-to-be University by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Position Details
- Post: Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)
- Project Title: Safety and Efficacy Evaluation of Liposome-based Nanocordycepin for the Treatment of Chemoresistant Breast Cancer Cells in Vitro and In Vivo
- Principal Investigator: Dr. D. Guru Kumar, Assistant Professor, Division of Biochemistry, School of Life Sciences, JSS AHER, Mysuru
- Project Duration: Three years
- Salary: ₹56,000/- per month + 20% HRA
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Pharmacology
OR - Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or M.Pharm in Pharmacology with a minimum of two years of research experience
- Candidates with NET/SLET/GATE qualifications are preferred
Desirable Skills
- Hands-on experience in lipid-based nanoparticle preparation and characterization
- Expertise in cell culture techniques
- Familiarity with animal (mice) handling and molecular biology techniques
Job Responsibilities
- Conducting experiments related to nanoparticle preparation and characterization
- Performing in vitro and in vivo safety and efficacy studies
- Managing consumables, ordering, storage, and maintenance
- Candidates with an M.Sc. qualification will have the opportunity to enroll in a Ph.D. program
Age Limit
- Maximum 35 years (relaxation as per government norms)
