Post: Field Assistant, 1 Position

Recruitment Details:
This recruitment aims to fill vacancies under the project titled “Sepsis-related mortality in neonates in India: A multi-disciplinary, multi-institutional research program for context-specific solutions” for project positions at Clinical Development Services Agency (CDSA) center.

  • Consolidated Salary per Month: Rs 24,800
  • Duration: 03 months (with the possibility of extension)
  • Age: 18-30 years

    • University College of Medical Science, New Delhi
    • Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital, New Delhi
    • Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi
    • Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi
    • National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi

Job Profile:
The Field Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Collecting samples from study sites and transporting them to THSTI for bio-repository and analysis sites.
  • Packing biological samples as per protocol/SOPs.
  • Ensuring optimal sample storage conditions at collection centers/packaging and dispatch.
  • Communicating with clinical and lab personnel for coordination of sample transport.
  • Including night shifts with night duty allowance paid as per GoI rules.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Standard 10 with 3 years’ experience in laboratory clinical research OR Standard 12 with 1 year experience in clinical field work or laboratory clinical research OR Degree/Diploma in MLT OR Degree/Diploma in clinical research.
  • Desirable: Experience in clinical research field work, communicating with participants, making home visits for data/sample collection, and sample transport.

Skills:

  • Basic knowledge and ability to conduct clinical lab-related monitoring.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with understanding of local language and basic English.
  • Ability to read and write multiple local languages preferred.
  • Fair negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to manage field-based activities.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a team.
