Job Post: Formulation Development Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of formulation scientists and researchers focusing on OSD, semi-solid, and injectable drug formulations.
- Strategy Development: Define and execute the overall formulation development strategy, considering stability, bioavailability, and manufacturability.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with analytical development, regulatory affairs, and manufacturing teams to align with project timelines and objectives.
- Study Oversight: Oversee pre-formulation and formulation studies, including feasibility assessments, compatibility studies, and process optimization.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to quality standards, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices in all formulation development activities.
- Innovation: Evaluate emerging technologies and scientific advancements to drive innovation within the company.
- Team Development: Mentor and develop the skills of the formulation team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Communication: Participate in technical discussions and present project updates to senior management and clients as required.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges in formulation development projects and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- External Collaboration: Collaborate with external research organizations, CDMOs, and academic institutions to enhance the company’s research capabilities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field. A higher degree (Masters or Ph.D.) would be a plus.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical formulation development, with a focus on OSD, semi-solids, and injectables.
