Job Title: Healthcare Claims Auditor
Job Summary:
The Healthcare Claims Auditor will be responsible for conducting audits on healthcare claims to identify any billing aberrancy basis the clinical recommendations/judgment and review of the invoice, medical documents (if any), and payer-specific policies and guidelines. The individual will also identify any specific billing patterns or trends from different providers monthly, communicate and coordinate with the clinical coordinator from the client-side, maintain audit logs, prepare and share MI from the audit log and handle customer queries from providers or members via emails.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct audits on healthcare claims to identify any billing aberrancy basis the clinical recommendations/judgment and review of the invoice, medical documents (if any), and payer-specific policies and guidelines.
- Identify any specific billing patterns or trends from different providers monthly.
- Communicate and coordinate with the clinical coordinator from the client-side.
- Demonstrate the ability to consistently meet or exceed targets and benchmarks.
- Maintain audit logs and prepare and share MI from the audit log.
- Handle customer queries from providers or members via emails.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in healthcare claims auditing.
- Knowledge of payer-specific policies and guidelines.
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends and patterns.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
