Opportunity for B.Pharm under State Health & Family Welfare Samiti

The West Bengal State Health & Family Welfare Samiti plans to hire a Field Investigator on a contract basis for the Price Monitoring & Resource Society, under the State Drug Control Directorate, West Bengal. This position will be located at the Price Monitoring & Resource Society Unit.

Essential Qualification:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy from any institute approved by the Pharmacy Council of India / AICTE.

Desirable Experience:

• Completed 4 years of experience in a registered institution involved in the manufacturing or testing of drugs or enforcement of provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetics Acts, 1940, including the sale, marketing, or research laboratory related to drugs.

Age Criteria (as on 01.01.2023):

• Maximum age: 40 years
• Minimum age: 21 years
• Relaxation for age will be given for SC candidates as per norms.The mode of selection for the Field Investigator position is as follows:

  Total Marks: 100

  1. Bachelor in Pharmacy: 65 marks (Proportionate Marking)
     • The marks obtained in the Bachelor in Pharmacy examination will be proportionately converted to a maximum of 65 marks out of 100.
  2. Experience in registered institution: 20 marks
     • 4 marks will be awarded for each completed year of experience in a registered institution involved in the manufacturing or testing of drugs or enforcement of provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetics Acts, 1940, up to a maximum of 20 marks.
  3. Interview: 15 marks

  The selection process will consider the marks obtained in the academic qualification (Bachelor in Pharmacy), experience in a registered institution, and performance in the interview. The selection will be based on the cumulative score of these factors.

  It’s important to note that the engagement for the Field Investigator position is on a contractual basis initially for two years or one year. The contract may be renewed or extended on a yearly basis, subject to satisfactory performance.

  Here are some general information and guidelines for the applicants/candidates of the Field Investigator position:

  7. Keep a record of the online registration number for future reference. The employer will not provide information about the online registration number in the future.
  8. Marks will be considered after rounding off up to 2 decimal points.
  9. Important dates:
     • Start date of application: From 11 a.m. of 30th May, 2023.
     • Last date of registration: Midnight of 8th June, 2023.
     • Last date of submission of application fees: Midnight of 10th June, 2023.
     • Last date of full submission of the form: Midnight of 13th June, 2023.
  10. Application fees can be paid online through net banking or credit/debit card. Successful payment will lead to a link for final submission of the application form using the received application ID. Do not deposit the fee more than once.
  11. Candidates found ineligible at any stage of the recruitment process will not be called for subsequent stages.
  12. The decision of the competent authorities regarding the recruitment is final.
