Job Description:

  • Designing and Conducting Scientific Experiments: Create and execute scientific experiments for projects across various clinical phases for both drug substance and drug product, demonstrating autonomy and expertise. Proficient in interpreting results and generating conclusive reports.
  • Adherence to Quality and Regulatory Standards: Maintain compliance with Quality metrics, ALCOA+ principles, GLP, OQM, HSE, ISEC, and Novartis guidelines. Uphold Good Documentation Practices, ensuring meticulous record-keeping.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Contribute collaboratively to multidisciplinary teams, aiding project deliverables within stipulated timelines. Provide mentorship to new team members, actively participate in project meetings and networks, and contribute to team objectives while fulfilling individual goals.
  • Equipment Qualification and Calibration: Assume responsibility for instrument/equipment qualification (URS to Report) and scheduled calibrations according to site procedures.
  • Investigative Abilities and Effective Communication: Proficiently conduct investigations, guide team members, and communicate transparently with global stakeholders. Manage multiple priorities effectively.

Candidate Profile:

  • Academic Background: M.Pharm./M.Sc with proficient English language skills (oral and written).
  • Experience Required at Novartis: Minimum of 10 years (M.Pharm./M.Sc.) or 4 years (Ph.D.) in quantification of GTIs/Nitrosamines in DS and DP at trace levels.
  • Essential Expertise: Previous engagement with Nitrosamines, including NDSRIs, is obligatory. Profound proficiency in qualitative and quantitative analysis utilizing GCMS, LCMS, HRMS techniques.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Sound comprehension of nitrosamine-related regulations/guidelines, enabling independent study protocol design and experiment planning.
  • Effective Communication and Presentation: Strong scientific/technical writing skills and adept presentation capabilities.
  • Communication Skills: Proficient communication abilities.
