Job Description

Accountabilities

As an Associate Director Project Data Manager, you will lead Clinical Data Management (CDM) for assigned projects, indications, and/or studies based on their size and scale. You will hold global accountability and act as the second line of contact at the project level. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic planning and delivery of CDM deliverables at the project level
  • Management and oversight of vendor contracts
  • Resourcing and budget management
  • Oversight of vendor performance for assigned projects and studies
  • Proactive risk management and issue resolution/escalation related to CDM improvement or technology

Candidate Profile

  • Education: University or college degree in life sciences or a related field, pharmacy, nursing, or an equivalent relevant degree
  • Experience:
    • Significant Clinical Data Management experience, preferably in both CRO and Pharma industries across multiple therapeutic areas
    • Proven ability to manage multiple trials simultaneously and meet deadlines
    • Experience as a lead of a large Phase III trial or multiple smaller trials
    • Experience with CRO and vendor management
    • Experience managing teams
    • Familiarity with Regulatory Inspections
  • Skills:
    • Excellent understanding of clinical trial methodology, GCP, GDMP, and medical terminology
    • Comprehensive knowledge of clinical standards (e.g., SDTM or CDASH)
    • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
    • Comprehensive knowledge of database structures and clinical information management, including CRF design, database development, data handling, and reporting
    • Proficiency in SQL, 4GL, VBA, or R software
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to operate effectively in a global environment
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, negotiation, collaboration, conflict management, and interpersonal skills
    • Cultural awareness
