About the Role: Clinical Trial Support Manager (CTSM)

The Clinical Trial Support Manager (CTSM) plays a vital role in supporting the Clinical Study Leader (CSL) in the execution and delivery of clinical studies. This role involves planning, monitoring, and managing study operations, budgets, and documentation while ensuring regulatory compliance. The CTSM acts as a problem-solver and a key contributor to the success of clinical studies.


Key Responsibilities

1. Study Documentation & Planning

  • Develop and manage study-related plans and materials, including the Study Risk Management Plan, Monitoring Plan, and recruitment/retention plans.
  • Review operational documents such as protocols, amendments, and case report forms (eCRF).
  • Maintain and archive study documentation in compliance with SOPs.

2. Budget Management

  • Assist the CSL in preparing and tracking the overall study budget.
  • Support quarterly forecasts, monitor expenses, and manage accruals.
  • Perform budget reconciliation with vendors at study closure.

3. Meeting Coordination

  • Organize and lead study team meetings and Clinical Operations Study Country Leads (COSCL) meetings.
  • Participate in training sessions, investigator meetings, and data review discussions.

4. Vendor Management

  • Oversee vendor activities to ensure adherence to performance expectations.
  • Track vendor payments and collaborate with clinical buyers on operational aspects.
  • Manage operational and logistical aspects of clinical sample collection, tracking, and reconciliation.

Candidate Profile

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (Advanced degree preferred; scientific discipline preferred).

Experience

  • Familiarity with clinical development, GCP & ICH guidelines, FDA/EMA regulations, and SOPs.
  • Prior experience managing clinical studies or clinical operations.

Skills

  • Strong organizational abilities and multitasking skills.
  • Proficient in collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues.
  • Adaptability to new technologies and processes.
