Job Post: Associate – Scientific Writing

Job Description:

1. Content Creation/Review: Develop and update standard response letters, custom response letters, FAQs, and infographics. Make decisions on presentation, structure, and flow, adhering to AMA style with proficiency in language, grammar, stylization, and referencing.
2. Enquiry Handling: Manage inquiries, triage adverse events (AEs)/product quality complaints (PQCs), and develop/review Medical Information (MI) responses to ad hoc queries from HCPs/Internal staff/Public.
3. Localization: Adapt standard response documents for different regions.
4. Data Analytics: Generate reports for products, identify trends from data.
5. Scientific Databases: Utilize databases like Pubmed, Embase, and conduct literature searches.
6. Tools Familiarity: Proficient in Veeva, IRMS, Endnote, Rightfind, Mendeley.
7. Project Leadership: Lead end-to-end projects, ensuring optimal project health and stakeholder liaison.
8. Client Interaction: Participate/lead client calls, understand requirements, discuss best approaches, provide updates, and address client queries.
9. Best Practices: Adhere to departmental best practices in processes, communication, project management, and documentation.
10. Training and Development: Participate in assigned training programs, undertake assignments as required.
11. Team Leadership (Applicable for Lead Role): Mentor, train, and lead a team of medical writers.
12. Compliance: Ensure compliance with quality, confidentiality, security standards, and follow quality systems, processes, and policies.

Candidate Profile:

1. Experience: 2 to 4 years in medical/scientific writing in pharmaceutical companies or medical communications agencies.
2. Specialization: Understanding of any medical specialty (preferred) or a comprehensive understanding of the medical field.
3. Skills: Strong flair and passion for writing, excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills, networking abilities.
4. Technical Knowledge: Stay updated with the latest technical/scientific developments and relate them to various projects.
5. Tools Proficiency: Skilled in using Microsoft tools, basic knowledge of statistical analysis and data interpretation.
6. Qualification: M.Pharm / Pharm.D / BDS / MDS / Ph.D./ Any life science graduate with publication or medical writing experience.
