Position Details

  • Post: Pharmacist (Allopathic) – Contract Basis

  • Number of Vacancies: 04

  • Place of Posting: Kolkata & Siliguri

  • Engagement Type: Temporary (Contractual)

  • Duration: 180 days or until a regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier

Eligibility Criteria

  • Only retired personnel from Central Government, State Government, PSU, or Autonomous Bodies can apply.

  • Maximum age limit: 65 years (must not exceed this age during the contract period).

Terms & Conditions

  1. Tenure: The appointment is purely on a contract basis for 180 days or until a regular candidate is appointed.

  2. Remuneration: Fixed monthly pay, calculated as per government norms (basic pension deducted from last drawn salary). No increments or additional benefits will be provided.

  3. Duties & Responsibilities: The appointee shall perform duties as assigned by the competent authority without additional allowance.

  4. Performance & Payment: Salary will be disbursed only after a satisfactory performance report from the CMO in charge of the assigned CGHS Wellness Center.

  5. Non-Eligibility for Government Benefits: No entitlement to Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Benefits, Seniority, Promotion, Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), Leave Encashment, or LTC.

  6. Leave Policy: Paid leave at 1.5 days per completed month of service (non-cumulative beyond the calendar year).

  7. Full-time Commitment: The appointee cannot accept any other employment, including private practice, during the contract tenure.

  8. Work Location & Transferability: The appointee may be posted at any CGHS Wellness Center in Kolkata, Siliguri, or Jalpaiguri and will report to the CMO in charge.

  9. No Travel Allowance (TA): Candidates must bear their own travel expenses for joining.

  10. Termination Clause: The contract may be terminated by either party with 15 days’ notice or immediate termination with half-month’s remuneration in lieu of notice.
