Pharmacist Recruitment at Seth A.J.B. Municipal ENT Hospital-Apply before 18th Sept. 2025

About the Opportunity

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) invites applications for the post of Pharmacist at the Seth A.J.B. Municipal Corporation Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital, Fort, Mumbai. The appointment will be made on a contractual basis from 01.10.2025 to 31.03.2027, with a service break of one day after every 179 days, or until the post is filled on a regular basis, whichever is earlier.

• Salary: ₹20,000/- per month (consolidated)

• Engagement Type: Contractual (Temporary appointment for 179 days at a time)

Educational Qualifications

1. Essential Qualification:

   • Diploma in Pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education OR

   • Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized University.

   • (Preference will be given to candidates with at least 21 years of age.)

2. Registration Requirement:

   • Must be registered with the Maharashtra State Pharmacy Council.

3. Additional Requirements:

   • Minimum 50 marks in Marathi at SSC/HSC or equivalent examination.

   • Knowledge of computers with certification in one of the following:

     • DOEACC (CCC/O/A/B/C Level) OR

     • MSCIT (Maharashtra State Certificate in Information Technology) OR

     • GECT Certificate OR

     • Any other Government-approved computer course.

Age Criteria

• Minimum: 18 years

• Maximum: 38 years (as on the last date of application).

Application Fee

• ₹790/- + 18% GST (Non-refundable).

• Payment must be made in cash at the Civic Facility Centre (CFC) of the Municipal Corporation after collecting the challan from the hospital office.

• Original receipt of payment must be attached with the application.

Selection Process

1. Merit list will be prepared based on academic qualifications and experience.

2. Preference will be given to candidates passing in the first attempt.

   • Deduction of marks for multiple attempts:

     • Two attempts – 5 marks deducted

     • Three attempts – 10 marks deducted

   • More than three attempts – not eligible.

3. In case of tie, seniority will be considered by date of birth.

4. Selection list will be displayed on the hospital notice board.

General Terms & Conditions

• Appointment is purely temporary and contractual; no claim for regular service will be entertained.

• Weekly leave and 7.5 casual leaves (per six months) will be allowed; no other leave is admissible.

• Unsatisfactory performance may lead to termination without notice.

• Selected candidates must execute a bond of ₹500/- on stamp paper.

• Resignation requires 1 month prior notice, failing which salary for that month will be deducted.

• Candidates with false information/documents will be disqualified.

• The Municipal Commissioner reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage.
