The National Health Mission (NHM), South Andaman District, invites applications from eligible candidates for the following vacant posts on a contract basis for a period of 11 months with consolidated pay.


Position Details

  • Post: Pharmacist (Allopathy)
  • No. of Posts: 02
  • Monthly Consolidated Pay: Rs. 16,000

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications:

  1. Degree in Pharmacy or Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized university/institution.
  2. Registration with the Pharmacy Council under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948.

Desirable Experience:

  • Degree holders: 3 years of experience in dispensing medicines.
  • Diploma holders: 5 years of experience in dispensing medicines.

Age Limit:

  • Applicants must be 18 years or above.

Selection Process

  • Trade Test: Begins from 10:00 AM at designated locations (details will be communicated to qualified candidates).
  • Interview: Will be conducted at the Conference Hall, Deputy Commissioner’s Office, South Andaman from 10:00 AM onwards.

    • Self-attested photocopies of educational qualifications (Mark sheets, certificates, diplomas, etc.).
    • Professional qualification certificates, if applicable.
    • Birth certificate and local residency certificate.
    • Experience certificates detailing the nature and period of service.
      (Note: Appointment orders or offer letters will not be accepted as proof of experience.)
  2. Application Format:
    • Applications must be submitted on A4 size paper.
    • The envelope should be clearly superscripted with:

Important Guidelines

  • Contract Basis: Appointment will be purely contractual for 11 months, subject to review and renewal based on performance and program needs.
  • Eligibility Check: Candidates must ensure that all details provided are accurate. If any discrepancies are found during the selection process or after appointment, the candidature will be canceled and the contract terminated.
  • Location Flexibility: Selected candidates should be prepared to work in remote or hard-to-reach areas within the South Andaman District, if required.
  • Incomplete Applications: Applications lacking required documents or proper information will be rejected.
  • Notification of Results: The list of selected candidates will be published on the notice board of District Health Society (SA) and on the official website of the A&N Administration.
  • No TA/DA: No travel or dearness allowance will be provided for attending the trade test or interview.
