The National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. As the only WADA-accredited laboratory in India, NDTL leads the nation in the scientific fight against doping in sports. Equipped with cutting-edge technology like LC-Orbitrap-HRMS, GC/C/IRMS, and Cobas e411, the institute is a hub for advanced human sports dope testing and allied research, collaborating with national and global institutions.

📌 Position Details

• Post Title: Scientist ‘E’

• Group Classification: Group ‘A’

• Number of Posts: 01

• Pay Scale: ₹123,100 – ₹215,900 (Pay Level 13 as per 7th CPC)

• Recruitment Mode: Composite Method — Deputation (including Short Term Contract) / Promotion

📋 Eligibility Criteria

🔹 Deputation (Including Short-Term Contract):

Officers from Central/State Government, PSUs, or Autonomous Bodies who:

1. Hold an analogous post on a regular basis;
   OR
   Have five years of regular service in Pay Level 12 (₹78,800 – ₹2,09,200);

2. Possess a Ph.D. in Chemical/Biological/Pharmaceutical Sciences from a UGC/AICTE recognized institution;

3. Have ten years of post-doctoral R&D experience, including two years in scientific administration, planning, management, or execution of research programs.

🌟 Desirable Qualifications

• Proven experience in drug analysis and sports dope testing

• Familiarity with ISO/IEC:17025 quality management systems

• Research publications in reputed journals

• Understanding of drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics

🧾 Job Responsibilities

• Represent NDTL at international forums, including engagements with WADA

• Lead and expand analytical testing programs in human doping detection

• Guide refinement of techniques based on evolving WADA protocols

• Supervise and mentor scientific/technical staff

• Manage research and administrative operations of the laboratory

• Oversee a team of approximately 35 specialized scientists
