Research Associate / Senior Research Associate – ADME

Job Description

As a Research Associate/Senior Research Associate specializing in ADME (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, and Excretion), you will be responsible for a range of critical tasks in our laboratory. These include:

• Performing all ADME assays with precision and accuracy.
• Developing methods and collecting data using LC-MS/MS and other modalities such as Absorbance and Fluorescence.
• Supporting the development of new assays for ADME activities.
• Analyzing enzyme activity data using GraphPad Prism and MS-Excel, and interpreting MS data with Sciex.
• Compiling comprehensive reports and interfacing with collaborators.
• Coordinating with third-party collaborators for pharmacokinetic (PK) studies involving animal models.
• Conducting daily testing and profiling of compounds in cell and protein-based assays.
• Drafting detailed reports, documenting experiments, and proficiently presenting results within the lab and in various forums and meetings.
• Collaborating closely with other biology group members involved in screening, cell biology, protein biology, and ADME, providing integrated drug discovery support alongside the chemistry team for multiple client-based projects.
• Contributing to group activities such as ordering, stocking, and follow-ups.

Candidate Profile

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• A Master’s degree (M.Sc) or M.Pharma in Microbiology or Biotechnology.
• 1-4 years of hands-on experience with LC-MS/MS, HPLC, and bio-analytical studies.
• An excellent understanding and knowledge of laboratory tools, techniques, methods, and underlying principles.
• Practical exposure to general biotech laboratory equipment, including cell-culture labs, in-vitro labs, and ADME labs.
• A strong theoretical understanding and practical work experience with cell culture techniques (established cell lines) and ADME assays (microsomal stability, plasma stability, solubility, permeability, CYP inhibition assays, plasma protein binding assays, etc.).
• An ability to overcome technical challenges and exercise sound judgment under pressure.
• High self-motivation to initiate projects and work independently under aggressive deadlines.
• Strong technical knowledge with exceptional attention to detail.

• An ability to work well as part of a small focused team and build strong relationships.
