Post: Advisor / Senior Advisor – Formulation
Job Description:
Are you passionate about drug product development, including pre-formulation, formulation, and process development for monoclonal antibodies, recombinant proteins, and other biologic products? Do you possess expertise in scale-up and tech transfer? Are you adept at utilizing analytical techniques to characterize bioproducts? Have you effectively managed outsourced projects to CROs and CMOs in a virtual environment? If so, then consider joining LCCI as a Drug Product Development Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulation Development Oversight:
- Lead preformulation and formulation studies to determine optimal stability conditions for biologic candidates.
- Strategically address technical challenges and oversee process tech transfer to GMP manufacturing facilities.
- Experimental Guidance and Process Evolution:
- Direct teams in conducting experiments to select ideal formulations and manufacturing processes.
- Adapt processes and formulations as products progress through development stages, considering commercialization requirements.
- Quality Assurance and Troubleshooting:
- Ensure high-quality product and data from CROs and CMOs.
- Troubleshoot issues, identify trends, and minimize process variability.
- Flexibility and Detail-Oriented Approach:
- Embrace new projects and challenges with flexibility.
- Maintain meticulous records, interpret data, and provide detailed analysis.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Interact effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Adhere to safety and environmental guidelines, fostering a proactive safety culture.
Candidate Profile:
- Education:
- PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- BS/MS in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 8-10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience Requirements:
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and formulation development.
- Experience in process development, tech transfer, and commercialization.
- Ability to build dynamic relationships and mentor colleagues.
- Familiarity with process control and documentation systems.
