About TMC
The Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) is an autonomous grant-in-aid institution under the Department of Atomic Energy. It consists of two major components: the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research, and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) and the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH).
ACTREC operates a Ph.D. program in Life Sciences, which is affiliated with the Homi Bhabha National Institute. This institute holds the status of a deemed university under category A, as recognized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The Ph.D. program at ACTREC focuses on Life Sciences, with an emphasis on cancer research.
The ongoing research activities at ACTREC encompass both basic and translational research in Cancer Biology.
