About TMC

The Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) is an autonomous grant-in-aid institution under the Department of Atomic Energy. It consists of two major components: the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research, and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) and the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH).

ACTREC operates a Ph.D. program in Life Sciences, which is affiliated with the Homi Bhabha National Institute. This institute holds the status of a deemed university under category A, as recognized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The Ph.D. program at ACTREC focuses on Life Sciences, with an emphasis on cancer research.

The ongoing research activities at ACTREC encompass both basic and translational research in Cancer Biology. This signifies a comprehensive approach that spans from fundamental scientific investigations to the application of research findings for practical medical purposes. The aim is to contribute to the understanding of cancer and develop advancements in its diagnosis and treatment.

Qualifications and Experience Required at Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre

  • Education Qualification, Experience:
    • B.Pharm with a minimum of 01-year experience in Dispensary/Pharmacy of any recognized hospital OR
    • D.Pharm with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Dispensary/Pharmacy of any recognized hospital
    • Registration with the state pharmacy Council with duly allotted Registration Number is mandatory.
    • Experience of working on a computerized system is desirable.
    • Candidates should be prepared to work in shift duties, including night shifts.

Age Criteria:

  • Age Limit: Maximum up to 27 Years (age limit is relaxable for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD category as per Government of India instructions).
  • Age relaxable maximum by 5 years for TMC Employees and employees working in TMC on a Temporary basis/under project/on contract basis, etc.

Salary Details:

  • Salary Per Month: Rs. 23,800/- to Rs. 25,000/-

Tenure of Services:

  • Tenure: The post will be for a fixed period of six months from the date of joining and further extendable as per requirement. The above-mentioned posts are purely temporary.
